Stoptober
Research has shown that if you quit for 28 days, you're five times more likely to quit for good.
Stoptober begins on 1 October 2024 and there’s never been a better time to quit!
Stoptober is a major annual event to encourage smokers to quit for 28 days in October, with the aim of stopping smoking permanently. Research has shown that if you quit for 28 days, you're 5 times more likely to quit for good.
Stopping smoking is one of the best things you will ever do for your health. Quitting is much easier when you get the right support. The least effective method is to try to quit unaided (going 'cold turkey'). You're three times more likely to quit with our free support than if you go it alone. By using the support that’s right for you, you’ll be boosting your chance of success.
Even if you’ve tried before, maybe more than once, you can still succeed. What you’ve already learned will help you reach your goal of becoming an ex-smoker.
